Drishyam 3: The Conclusion has opened to a massive response at the worldwide box office. Starring Ajay Devgn as Vijay Salgaonkar, the third and final instalment of the popular thriller franchise earned around ₹95.10 crore worldwide on Day 1, narrowly missing the ₹100 crore mark. The film released in theatres on October 2, 2026, coinciding with Gandhi Jayanti.
Drishyam 3 Day 1 Worldwide Collection
According to trade figures reported by Indian Express, Drishyam 3 collected approximately ₹66.75 crore net in India, translating to around ₹80.10 crore gross domestically. The film added approximately ₹15 crore from overseas markets, taking its worldwide opening-day gross to about ₹95.10 crore.
The strong opening makes Drishyam 3 the biggest opener of Ajay Devgn’s career, comfortably surpassing Singham Again, which had previously held his opening-day record. The film also recorded strong theatre occupancy throughout the day, with overall occupancy reported at around 67%.
Drishyam 3 Beats Jailer and Tiger 3
The worldwide opening has also put Drishyam 3 ahead of several major Indian releases in terms of Day 1 gross. Hindustan Times reported that its approximately ₹95 crore worldwide opening surpassed the opening-day figures of Rajinikanth’s Jailer (₹91 crore) and Salman Khan’s Tiger 3 (₹93 crore).
However, the film did not cross the ₹100 crore worldwide mark on its first day. Trade reports place it at around ₹95 crore, making it one of the biggest opening days for a Hindi film.
Strong Start for the Drishyam Franchise
The latest film has also significantly improved on the opening-day performances of its predecessors. Drishyam (2015) opened at around ₹5.85 crore in India, while Drishyam 2 began with approximately ₹15.38 crore. The third instalment has delivered a substantially larger debut.
Directed by Abhishek Pathak, Drishyam: The Conclusion brings back Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Shriya Saran, Rajat Kapoor, Ishita Dutta and Kamlesh Sawant, while adding actors including Jaideep Ahlawat and Prakash Raj to the cast.
With strong audience interest and positive early reactions, the film has started its theatrical journey on a high note. The coming weekend will be crucial in determining how strongly Drishyam 3 sustains its momentum at the box office.
