Speculation about the equation between Rishab Shetty and Hombale Films has surfaced online after fans noticed what they describe as unusual social media activity surrounding Kantara: A Legend – Chapter 1.
The discussion gained attention after Kantara Chapter 1 enjoyed a major run at the SIIMA Awards 2026, where the film reportedly won nine awards in the Kannada categories. Rishab Shetty won both Best Actor and Best Director, while the film also received the Best Film award and Rukmini Vasanth was recognised as Best Actress.
Why Are Fans Talking About Rishab Shetty and Hombale Films?
According to observations circulating on social media, some fans noticed that Hombale Films did not appear to share a celebratory post following the film’s SIIMA success. Similar observations have now emerged around another recent Rishab Shetty post.
Fans have also pointed out that Rishab Shetty did not tag Hombale Films in the particular post being discussed. Another detail attracting attention is the apparent absence of the Hombale Films logo from the poster.
These observations have led some social-media users to speculate that there could be a change in the relationship between the actor-director and the production banner.
However, there has been no confirmed public statement from either Rishab Shetty or Hombale Films announcing a disagreement, fallout or split. The absence of a social-media tag, logo or promotional post by itself does not establish that there is a dispute between the two sides.
Rishab Shetty Had Earlier Praised Hombale Films
The current speculation is notable because Rishab Shetty had previously spoken very positively about his association with Hombale Films while promoting Kantara: Chapter 1.
In a September 2025 interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Shetty described Hombale Films as a “powerhouse” and praised founders Vijay Kiragandur and Chaluve Gowda for their involvement in the project. He said he had narrated the script to them multiple times and credited the collaboration for helping make the ambitious film possible.
Hombale Films was the production banner behind Kantara: Chapter 1, which was directed by and starred Rishab Shetty. The film was released worldwide in October 2025 and became one of the major commercial successes associated with the Kannada film industry.
Is There Really a Fallout?
At present, the answer remains unclear.
The social-media observations have certainly sparked discussion among fans, particularly because Kantara Chapter 1 and Hombale Films have been closely associated since the project’s announcement. But without statements from Rishab Shetty, Hombale Films or their representatives, claims of a serious disagreement remain speculation.
Fans are now watching for future promotional posts, announcements or collaborations involving Rishab Shetty and Hombale Films that could provide more clarity about their current professional relationship.
