India’s automobile market is gearing up for a busy festive season, with several new cars and major facelifts expected to arrive in October 2026. From automatic sedans and family SUVs to electric luxury vehicles and strong-hybrid models, buyers will have plenty of new options to consider.
Honda Elevate Facelift
The updated Honda Elevate is expected to arrive on October 6. The midsize SUV is likely to receive exterior and feature upgrades while retaining its 1.5-litre petrol engine. The current Elevate is available with both a six-speed manual and CVT automatic transmission, along with Honda Sensing ADAS.
New Skoda Slavia
The Skoda Slavia is another major October arrival. Skoda has already revealed the updated sedan, which brings new LED lighting, refreshed interiors, a 360-degree camera and additional comfort features.
One of its biggest changes is the introduction of an eight-speed torque-converter automatic with the 1.0 TSI engine. The 1.5 TSI continues with a seven-speed DSG automatic, giving automatic-car buyers two different transmission choices.
Volvo EX90 and ES90
Volvo is expected to launch two premium electric models in India on October 12 — the EX90 electric SUV and ES90 electric sedan. The EX90 is a large three-row SUV and is expected to feature a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup with a 106kWh battery. Its claimed WLTP range is around 625km.
New-Generation Audi Q3
The new Audi Q3 is scheduled for an October 16 launch in India. Audi has already begun local production of the new-generation SUV. The model brings a redesigned exterior and updated cabin, while quattro all-wheel drive and an automatic transmission are expected to remain key highlights.
Renault Duster Hybrid
The Renault Duster will also expand its powertrain portfolio with a strong-hybrid E-Tech version around Diwali 2026. Renault says the hybrid uses a 1.8-litre petrol engine with a 1.4kWh battery and is designed to operate in electric mode for a significant portion of driving.
Hyundai Bayon and Toyota Glanza Facelift
The Hyundai Bayon is expected to make its India debut around October, potentially positioned between the Venue and Creta. The Toyota Glanza facelift is also expected during the month, bringing styling and equipment updates to the premium hatchback segment.
With automatic transmissions, SUVs, EVs and hybrid technology dominating the October calendar, the festive season could bring significant variety for Indian car buyers. However, launch dates and specifications for some models remain subject to change.
