BMW India has launched the updated 2026 BMW 7 Series and BMW i7 in India, bringing refreshed styling, upgraded technology and enhanced luxury features to the brand’s flagship sedan range. The new models were unveiled by Bollywood star Ranveer Singh, who has also been introduced as BMW India’s Brand Voice.
The new BMW 7 Series range is available with petrol and fully electric powertrains, giving customers the choice between conventional performance and electric mobility. Prices start at ₹1.95 crore (ex-showroom), while the range-topping i7 M70 xDrive costs ₹2.65 crore.
2026 BMW 7 Series, i7: Price in India
The India-spec range includes three models:
- BMW 740 M Sport: ₹1.95 crore
- BMW i7 50 xDrive M Sport: ₹1.95 crore
- BMW i7 M70 xDrive: ₹2.65 crore
All prices are ex-showroom. BMW says deliveries are scheduled to begin from October 2026.
New BMW 7 Series Gets Major Design Updates
The facelift brings a redesigned front end featuring a prominent BMW Iconic Glow Kidney Grille, slimmer lighting elements and a revised bumper. The overall design continues to retain the imposing proportions of the flagship luxury sedan while introducing a more futuristic appearance.
Inside, BMW has significantly upgraded the cabin with new-generation technology. Highlights include the BMW Panoramic Head-up Display, BMW Operating System X and a first-ever passenger screen. Rear passengers continue to receive a premium experience with Executive Lounge seating and an enhanced Theatre Screen.
BMW i7 Gets More Range and Performance
The electric BMW i7 receives an upgraded drivetrain and larger battery technology. BMW claims a WLTP range of up to 728 km for the new i7 range. The high-performance i7 M70 xDrive becomes the most powerful BMW 7 Series ever offered.
Another major development is local production. BMW has announced that the i7 will now be produced at its Chennai plant, making India only the second country after Germany to locally manufacture the electric flagship sedan.
